How To Become A Better World Citizen

How To Become A Better World Citizen

Group 1

For the third-class assignment we were required to develop a presentation pertaining to "HOW TO BECOME A BETTER WROLD CITIZEN". I had to discuss significant issues and explain how respect and accountability are just two of the many qualities that go along with being a better citizen.Group 1 and I concentrated on respect. The amazing fundamental concepts that follow are what I took away from my classmates' slides. To become a better global citizen, you must uphold certain principles including respect, honesty, honor, and accountability. One's upbringing can be shown in how one respects and acknowledges others. It's important to understand and accept that not everyone will agree with or support your opinions. Respecting how other people express themselves, whether it be through their choice of attire, language, or manner of carrying themselves, is as important to you as it is to them.Race is an important consideration, and many people are more likely to classify people solely on the basis of their outward look. Racial disparity exists on a global scale, and tragically, even in 2022, after a plethora of years, we still have this problem. Because it included such key aspects as teaching respect for others, how to view and behave in daily life, and adolescents' sex education, I consider that group 1's general message was remarkably good.my topic in this presentation was about sexuality. Sexual rights refer to specific norms that emerge when existing human rights are applied to sexuality. These rights include freedom, equality, privacy, autonomy, integrity and dignity of all people; principles recognized in many international instruments that are particularly relevant to sexuality.

Group 2

Global culture was the second subject of study for group 2. I was astounded by the variety of delicacies that these other countries in this group have to offer. I learned that while comparable meals can be found throughout the world, they are prepared and spiced differently. To sample all the many fruits and prepared delicacies I see there, I'd like to travel sometime. The history, geography, and culture of each country in South America have all had an impact on the region's particular cuisine. Good food citizenship can be demonstrated by purchasing directly from farmers, choosing local produce, making and sharing meals with others, and more. Group 2 focused on significant subjects like religion.I had the chance to gain knowledge about the primary religions that were prevalent in Asia and Europe, such as Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism. while using less words and more graphics to convey their views, this was definitely one of my favorite parts of the group presentation. The group demonstrated that they were knowledgable about their subject and that they were comfortable with what they were saying. Overall, the presentation was pretty lively and captivating.

Group 3

Group 3 focused on young children and adolescents. There are plenty of methods for kids and teenagers to give back to the community. Actually, what is developing now is the younger generation. In essence, young adults currently hold the reins. Young folks are the only ones who are familiar with all of this new technology and methodology. Our current generation of millennial consumers will grow into better global citizens if we make sure they understand how to look for themselves and the society. The youths might contribute by volunteering at the dog park, bookstore, educators' aid, counseling, and other local organizations. Mentoring and educating young individuals about the good and negative is essential since they will be in charge of shaping the future. Elderly members of society have pressures comparable to those experienced by younger members of the population, such as financial concerns, diminished mobility and energy, the requirement to seek medical attention, and the need to make death arrangements.Consequently, a significant section of society is unaware of the challenges, demands, and injustices that our elderly population faces on a daily basis. Senior citizens shouldn't have to strain or fret over necessities like medical services, yet in the contemporary environment, this population frequently faces these problems. The group also addressed about problems including disabilities, mental health care, and awareness-building. According to estimates, it might take a patient a maximum of eleven years from the onset of their mental health illness for them to start counseling.I had no idea that the United States had such high levels of psychological healthcare or that it was the second most common cause of mortality. The fact that so few people are aware of the struggles that others and themselves go through frustrates me, to be perfectly frank. People with mental health disorders are subjected to prejudice much like those with impairments, and this is something they have no control over. Thanks to your presentation, I was able to realize how many things I could include into my daily activities. I also realized how crucial it is in today's society to spread awareness of problems like mental illness and disability. People often love making derogatory statements about folks who are disabled or who are dealing with mental health issues nowadays, and many of those who do so often are not aware of the difficulties that come with having a disability.

Conclusion

In the end with the research that I was involved in and the words of my peers I believe that there are many things to take away form this presentation. Not only is becoming a better world citizen important for other people I believe that people should also want to become better for them selves. To be educated and informed on relevant things is always very important thing to have. Our daily attention is more on our goals, aspirations, and necessities. As many individuals from many origins and locations come together to pursue the same common objective, education, assembling the knowledge from kids at school corresponds on how we might become better global citizens. This project gave me a lot to think about and a lot of new things to try and motivation to want to help other people want to know more about these topics.
